Product Description The HP 83485B is a plug-in optoelectronic module designed for high-speed signal measurement. It features one 30 GHz optical channel plus one electrical channel with either 18 GHz or 40 GHz bandwidth, compatible with 9/125 μm optical fiber. This module is engineered to work with the Agilent 83480A Digital Communications Analyzer and the 86100A/B/C Infiniium DCA/DCA-J mainframe series. Product Features Dual measurement channels: one optical channel and one electrical channel. The unamplified single-mode optical channel covers 980 nm–1625 nm with 30 GHz bandwidth and –8 dBm sensitivity. The electrical channel is available in 18 GHz or 40 GHz versions with a 2.4 mm connector, suitable for measuring tributary signals and transmitter modulated signals. High bandwidth and high sensitivity: The optical channel reaches 30 GHz, while the electrical channel offers up to 40 GHz bandwidth to accommodate high-speed signal characterization. With –8 dBm optical sensitivity, low-level optical signals can be measured precisely. Broad wavelength coverage: The optical channel spans 1000–1600 nm, covering mainstream optical communication wavelengths for testing various optoelectronic components.
